Position Overview:
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will report directly to the VP of Sales. The ideal candidate will reside in the bay area and be prepared to become a road warrior, engaging with clients across the region. Your expertise in white goods and light architectural products, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in lighting, electrical distribution, or sales, will be essential in this role.
About Us:
We are a San Diego based lighting manufacturer seeking an experienced and dynamic Outside Salesperson to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our growth in the Northern California market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to expand our customer base in the commercial white goods and architectural markets
- Engage actively with target customers, building strong and lasting relationships by understanding their unique needs and challenges
- Confidently present and communicate our value proposition to both existing customers and new prospects
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, driving growth and profitability
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new products, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge and provide valuable insights to the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure a seamless sales process and exceptional customer experience
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and continuously educate yourself on industry advancements
- Uphold our reputation as a trusted partner by delivering outstanding customer service
- Respond to customer inquiries, including internal and external team members, in a timely manner
- Follow up on assigned leads, providing information, explaining key benefits, and communicating our company's strengths
- Input leads and log activities in our CRM / ERP system
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B Sales
- Experience in Lighting or Electrical a plus
- A college degree is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated success in sales, with a track record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closure
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a positive, outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
- Strong organizational skills and a home-based office setup
